A New Member Showcase Is a Good Test of Your Follow Up
The St. George Chamber’s November 4 showcase offers a simple lesson: a new introduction only matters when the next customer conversation has an owner.

The Introduction Is Only the Start
The St. George Area Chamber lists its November New Member Showcase for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Mathis. The monthly luncheon gives new member businesses a place to introduce themselves and meet other local companies.
For any young business, the valuable part comes after the handshake. A name on a card is not a customer relationship until someone records the need, sends the promised information and sets a clear next step.
Give Every Conversation an Owner
Try a simple same day process. Write one useful detail beside each new contact, such as the service they asked about or the problem they are trying to solve. Send one short follow up that answers that point. Then set a task for the next conversation instead of leaving the card in a stack.
If three people from a team meet new contacts, one person should own the list and the others should add notes before they leave. That small handoff protects the customer experience without turning a community event into a hard sales pitch.
Build the Process Around the Customer
Good Carma works with eligible startups and businesses in their first years on lead generation, local SEO, quotes, customer communication, follow up and repeatable operating systems. We can help turn a good introduction into a clear process that a founder can review and improve.
